Ok, so I've been wanting to replace my suckie stock rear speakers with some 6x9's, the only problem is my S13 Coupe came with 6.5's in the back.
I've looked around at other sites and i remember on the old forums there was a write up of how to install the 6x9's without drilling holes and it looked clean.
Does anybody have any information on how do install the speakers and/or does anybody have a write up? Thx.

you have to make a new rear deck out of wood
cut a piece of 1/2" plywood to fit the space, then cut the holes for the 6x9 to fit. I used black carpet to cover the wood. Placed it on top and screwed down from the top and bottom. Be sure to line the 6x9 holes with the metal holes.
Good Luck with this project.

Yeah I was thinking all I would have to do is detach the stock rear cover and use that as a template, if there was no other way of doing it.
I remember from the old thread that they guy used bolts on top and wing nuts on the bottom to secure the wood to the frame. Thx for the input.
