even though there is a section...notice it's still empty... this forum does cater to a lot of cars but if we( the members) always request for tech on this car or that car, but never really put anything in there, there really is no point to have it. Plus , who here has one anyway?
AFter all, Duc only has 24hrs in a day yo!
;D

Exactly the point Lorth, we have a couple people from what I'm told that have an Eclipse but no have steeped forward to request any info. So even tho I have had the section their its the owners of those cars that need to step up and help fill those sections. Duc has done a hell of alot or research for alot of our cars and have gave him major props for his crazy finds but he cant be the only one looking for this stuff.
So the sections their lets just give it time to get stuff added... Side not Lorth, Silverstone (sorry don't know your name yet) was just asking for the section not the threads...

Yea, both Bobby and Lorth have the valid point of view. about 90% of all of the tech stuff is from Duc, and he has better things (or better has better things to do) than just scouring the Net looking for stuff that we got questions on, but chances are never going to pull through with.
The rest of the tech info comes from the car owners who have experienced this trouble or that trouble. At the old forums, Duc and I posted up the Supra rear end swap into the Corolla, with the different ring and pinion ratios, because I got one. Transmission posts, etc. My Corolla was more or less Duc's test bed for a lot of stuff, and the amount of research we both did (mostly Duc tho) reflects that. Now that I got a RX-7 (again), a bit more 7 stuff is posted, but because this is the 2nd time I owned one, and Dom and Bobby owns the other FCs on the forums, we all know the major tips and tricks.
A lot of us aren't part of the DSM forums, and I don't know anybody anymore that's part of the Nor-Cal Evo club, or any of the local Eclipse groups, if there are any active anymore. A lot of the information that has been posted are threads from other car clubs and forums, club4ag, dorikaze, rx7club, and others.
Its up to the community to post up what the community's interest is in. As admin and mods, its only our job to put up that structure for the interaction to take place.

bobby: silverstone is ben... the silver miata in the autocrosses.
ben: if you have any info on dsm tech, you can always post it up. i like certain dsm's too... usually the turbo AWD variety... i almost bought an eclipse many moons ago, and was thinking of a 3000gt vr-4 if i have extra cash laying around. ;D

the 3000gtvr4 is kinda heavy for my tastes but i think the automatic speed sensing front and rear spoilers are cool, i was a fan of the 1g turbo DSMs talon/eclipse/lazer, still both are great cars

Vr4 are nice...but it is a heavy car and u dont get that torque feel when u accel....but it is still a fast car... high 13s 1/4 mile!

i wasn't gonna tune a vr-4 for 1/4 mile runs... its more for stretching it's legs ;D

the vr4 sucks at the 1/4 unless it goes on a diet. my old boss who made close to 6 digits, had a vr-4, threw money at it, and still lagged behind in performance while it did have potential. he ended up trading it in for a solstice.
that whole generation, mitsubishi was still trying to solidify its standing against the competition. but then again, it was also the era of the larger cars too.. so ehh. hindsight's 20/20 i guess.
