how much HP/TQ can a 6.7" ae86 GTS rear end handle?
i'm pretty sure there's no specific number but what is the general range? I am doing about 180hp and dont want it to break when i push it.
I'm just asking becuase i'm running a 7.5"('80 supra) right now and want to switch to a 6.7" coz it has LSD and the right size spring perch for TRD springs(AE86) or these new style coilovers.. I'm not enjoying the rear coilovers while driving. They bottom out too much and i feel my rear end bouncing way to much when i hit corners.

lol, why dont you just have jason weld you some AE86 spring perches onto the 7.5 diff? MA61 supra LSD fits into the 7.5 w/ no problems and those are everywhere in the yards
just make sure the rear end code reads Fxx3 the 3 stands for LSD

so where can i get JUST spring perches? thats really my only problem becuase that would mean i'd have to find someone who's willing to JUSt give me the spring perches w/ no rear end. i can find rear ends all day at pick n pull..but they don't allow power tools in so i can't cut just the perches off..
right now i have a complete ae86 rear and dont want to cut the perches off of that becuase i might want to swap that rear into another car or sell it if i dont like it. so if anyone has a pair of ae86 spring perches ONLY....i'd like to know.
plus..i dont have a truck to lug around rear ends....
yea, i'm a complicated guy, no one understands me but my woman...
SHAFT!

Well I am ripping the SR-5 rearend out of my car and will have no use for it... I can donate it to a cause...
And if you do decide to rip those rear coil-over's out you know I want them for my setup..

jason just torched off an SR5 rearend's spring perches and welded them over the supra ones. The ae86 spring perches are taller and fit directly over the supra spring perches
MA61 diff is IRS so you just need to get the 3rd member

Possibly could get them cut off, but I'd prefer not to as I don't want to deal with getting rid of it after wards... What brand springs are on it, so I could see about finding stiffer ones...

stock ae86 rear ends supposedly holds up to 200 hp. anything over that and you're on your own.

i think ueo in d1 used a kouki ae86 rear end, and most of the people in the n2 challenge does too. maybe a kouki would handle it, the zenki is smaller so it might be more fragile.

is there a way to tell which one it is without taking off the axle?
